Advantage COVID-19 policies
The safety of our athletes, staff members and the community at large is our primary concern in all decisions we make. Advantage will respond to all local and state guidelines as they continue to evolve. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we adapt to changing circumstances.
By opting to participate in our program during this time, you acknowledge that you understand there is a risk you may be exposed to Coronavirus or other contagious illnesses in our facility. You further agree to do your part to help us minimize such risk to others by following the procedures outlined below.
Customer Guidelines and Responsibilities
Our customers play a crucial role in helping us reduce the risk of transmitting illnesses. Customers should not attend the facility if they are uncomfortable with the remaining risks and / or do not wish to abide by the following responsibilities.
- Health Screening:
Effective October 25th, following King County’s Vaccine Verification Order, all Advantage customers who are 12-years and older will be asked to show verification that they are fully vaccinated prior to participating in any gym activities. Alternatively, customers may show documentation of a negative PCR test within 72-hours of entering the facility. This is a requirement for our business, along with all other indoor youth sports facilities in King County. You can read all the details regarding the vaccine verification requirement here.
Families are still required to monitor their own health and that of their children. Families should not enter the building if anyone in the family is experiencing any signs of illness. Further, we ask that you follow all CDC guidelines if anyone in your family has had close contact with someone who has COVID-19.
Kids who are 2-11 years-old and anyone who has not been fully vaccinated are required to wear a face mask at all times when in the building.
Athletes who have been fully vaccinated are required to wear face masks in the building unless given permission to remove them by their coaches. This permission will only be granted when they are engaged in gymnastics-specific activities, and they are able to maintain adequate distance from anyone under 12-years-old during that time. Athletes will wear their face masks in all common spaces, including the lobby and restrooms.
All parents and other guests who visit our facility are required to wear face masks regardless of vaccination status. If you do not wish to wear a face mask, please utilize our outdoor viewing areas. Please note, if you are in any of our doorways, you will still be required to wear a mask.
Advantage staff members who are not fully vaccinated will continue to wear their face masks while in the building.
Our fully vaccinated staff members will be asked to wear their face masks any time they are in close proximity to children under 12-years-old, such as when spotting athletes or providing other hands-on corrections.
Capacity restrictions: We no longer have the same capacity limitations in our lobby. This means parents are welcome to stay to watch their athletes in the gym without worrying about a specific-viewing schedule. Please limit viewing to one parent per athlete to maintain space for adequate distancing while viewing. Please note that there is additional viewing available outside.
COVID-19 Exposure Protocol for Customers and Staff
We have asked all customers and staff members to notify us immediately if they have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or have had close, sustained exposure to someone else who has been confirmed to have the illness.
In the event we receive such a notification, we will follow the recommendations of our local health department.
Advantage employees and vendors have established a regular cleaning schedule to include frequent sanitation of all high touch areas. We use CDC approved cleaning agents throughout the facility.
